My colleagues and I recognise that education is vital for the future of the country and especially appreciate that maths is a key core subject. I was very pleased to be able to offer our services in the design of a superb new Maths Block at a school in the Forest of Dean.
The £2.1 million building at Dean Magna School in Mitcheldean was opened by Forest MP Mark Hooper. It comprises a brand new six classroom building and was completed on budget and ahead of schedule.
Our involvement came when we were approached to provide the new signage for the building. Maths teacher Steve Jones provided the unique design and we produced and erected the giant structure located above the entrance.
The Forest Review quoted Mr Jones as commenting “it’s not very often when you go round a school that you see a subject sign that shouts out and says this is something we do and we are very proud of it.”
He added that “it sends a very powerful message that this is a school where maths matters.”
It was certainly a project that we were proud to be involved with.
